It was a toss-up between that and commending Al Jefferson for taking less money.
I don't know what's going on with Sam these days. The Brand proposal is such a bad idea, and he's not a big name? He was getting MVP votes a few years ago. Sam even goes against his you-don't-want-players-who-force-trades philosophy.
